Tim’s passion is for antique silver which led to him becoming a specialist in Antique Silver Restoration and repair. Tim works mainly for London based silver dealers, private galleries, and private collectors. Museum and regimental silver repairs are also undertaken.
Tim trained at Birmingham School of Jewellery and Silversmithing where he gained a City and Guilds qualification, following which he began his career for real, working for a small silver store and gaining expertise running their restoration and repair workshop. He began to specialise in antique restoration, building a large portfolio of specialist restoration work. During the same period, he worked for the late Louis Osmen’s studio and alongside fellow craftsmen, completed several commissions the most notable being the Victoria and Albert Museum Lectern presented on the centenary of the museum. Latterly, Tim has undertaken the completion of a large unique commission for a private chapel, producing crucifix’, collecting bag, vase and candle sticks.
